Parent/Caregiver Coaching

“As a teacher, I was floored by how well Ariana’s virtual coaching worked for both me and for my son, who has cerebral palsy. Since the coaching, he’s been much more responsive and much calmer. His communication has also improved dramatically, which is a very big deal for both of us. This coaching is about acknowledging someone’s humanity. Here’s a human being who has wants and needs and desires, and now I’m going to be able to speak to that. And he loves spending time with Ariana! Whenever I say her name, he’ll get this huge smile.”

— Nadia, mom of a 6-year old

“I'm a big believer in ABM because of the positive changes I've seen in my son in hands-on lessons with Ariana, so when she started offering online coaching it was the perfect transition. The focus is on learning how to incorporate the 9 Essentials in my interactions with him, and it's been impactful for both of us. During our sessions, Ariana helpfully offers suggestions and reinforcements for me as caregiver. Since then, I've been able to cultivate better communication between us, be more mindful of my actions and how they impact him, and above all, create a more meaningful connection. And just enjoy being fun and silly more! Ariana's calm and supportive nature as a coach is such a great asset for this process.”

Kids: In-Person Lessons

“After working with Ariana, my son has experienced an awakening where his brain and body seem to be in harmony as never before. The ABM lessons he has done with her have led to new movements and faster vocal responses that he was previously unable to do. After his first series of lessons, he was able to mobilize independently in the pool for the first time, a very exciting moment! Her voice, her soft touch, her total empathy with my son makes him so comfortable and motivated. When he’s working with Ariana we can all see beyond his current severe mobility and cognitive limitations because she’s creating opportunities for him to move forward and continually progress.”

— Carolina, mom of a 7-year old with cerebral palsy

“We have been thrilled with the progress we have seen so far. It can be very frustrating as parents getting the news your child has been diagnosed on the spectrum.  We have seen significant progress since working with Ariana.  We have seen Mae get less upset when others enter her space, playing with her toys with more flexibility and even responding more consistently than ever before. We have also been able to read books to her, which she didn’t allow before.  We are excited to see the progress Mae continues to make as we work with Ariana.”

— Paul, dad of a 3.5 year old on the autism spectrum, after 3 months of lessons

“My daughter is low tone and has a developmental delay. She was able to roll from her back to her tummy after 4 sessions with Ariana. When her dad and I saw her attempting it, we were so excited, we were actually able to get it on camera. Ariana is so great with her.”

— Lisa, mom of a 7-month old

“Ariana has a calm, warm demeanor which was so welcoming and my son was immediately ready to work with her. Since we’ve started working with Ariana, we’ve seen him increase his ability to engage his trunk to sit up, more intentional movements in his arms and legs, and more attempts at communication. He’s also started carefully grabbing for things and holding them with intention (and glee!). Through working with Ariana, he’s increased the number of options he has in his toolbox of movements.”
